Ukrainian Winter (2005-2010)

In Feburary of 2005 I visited Ukraine for the first time. It was the winter of the Orange Revolution, a political moment that felt part of a larger, global call to action.

The days I was there, the snow did not stop falling over the landscape. On foot with a camera, I found myself drawn to the quieter spaces, looking for things that might otherwise be missed, but held an emotion, a moment, or a thought. I kept going back, winter after winter.
